Registration required to make sure bed is available - please call the shelter phone at 510-634-2229.
Our shelter is operated in partnership with the City of Hayward. Our capacity is 21 adults per night.
Shelter guests receive a nightly foldable mat, sleeping bag, as well as a hot dinner and breakfast. Guests must leave property in the morning but may return during Resource Center hours (Monday-Friday 10AM-4PM)
General schedule (7 days/week)
6:30PM - Shelter opens, dinner starts
8:00 PM - Beds are called (you must be on property to receive a bed)
10PM - Doors close, no more in/out
5:00AM - Wake up, put away beds
6:00AM - Breakfast starts
7:00AM - Guests off campus
Our Shelter Spaces

Main Shelter Area
We have one main hall that is used as the shelter space. Registered guests receive a numbered floor spot, folding mat, and sleeping bag.

Meals Provided
Each night, our guests receive a hot dinner served by our staff. In the morning guests have breakfast before they leave the campus for the day, and can take a bagged lunch to-go.
