South Hayward Parish

South Hayward Parish’s Mission is to engage people of faith in the endeavor and partnership of building and maintaining a just and nurturing community.  The Parish actively advocates for the rights and dignity of all people, regardless of sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, or geographic origin.

Our community ministry includes
Emergency Food Programs that meet unmet local needs
Community Action Network (CAN) working with homeless individuals in Hayward,
Public witness activities that promote social justice,
provides resources and advocacy that benefit all residents of Hayward.

Food Programs

Emergency Food Program – Our food pantry or food bank provides up to 10 days of emergency food for individuals and families. Short term food supplies available for individuals/families in need of assistance. Call the Food Distribution Coordinator at (510) 785-FOOD(3663) for assistance.

Resources and Advocacy

Hayward Coalition for Affordable Housing:

an advisory and advocacy group which works in partnership with residents, community based organizations, and housing consultants to develop strategies for creating affordable housing in our area.
