South Hayward Parish
South Hayward Parish’s Mission is to engage people of faith in the endeavor and partnership of building and maintaining a just and nurturing community. The Parish actively advocates for the rights and dignity of all people, regardless of sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, or geographic origin.
Our community ministry includes:
Emergency Food Programs that meet unmet local needs
Community Action Network (CAN) working to end homelessness in Hayward
Family Resource Collective providing access to healthcare, education, senior meals, information, and more
Public witness and education activities that promote social justice
Emergency Food Program – Our food pantry or food bank provides emergency food for individuals and families.
We provide short term assistance with a two day supply of food for families and individuals, which is distributed Tuesdays through Fridays from 2:30 through 5:00 pm.
Call the Food Distribution Coordinator at (510) 785-FOOD(3663) for assistance.
Winter Warming Shelter
On cold and rainy nights, our winter warming shelter provides a place to sleep and a hot meal for adults who would otherwise be on the street. The winter warming shelter operates from December through April, and provides food and shelter for up to twenty-five adults per night.
